March, 2019 Update:

Mother Mary Visitation Ministry bringing joy to the residents at Kensington!

Our mission is to fulfill our call of discipleship by providing visitation, a supportive relationship, active listening, and offering comfort and empathy to the elderly and those in need in our community. We also collaborate and work with other Ministries to provide services needed.

Last Saturday, Boy Scouts from Troop 31, Jacob and Rusty along with their Troop Representative, Tracy Robinson at Kensington in Sierra Madre, one of the many residential care facilities that we visit. The Scouts are working on their Ad Altare Dei religious service award and at the same time, having fun, helping with crafts, bonding, and bringing joy and smiles to the seniors.

Happy 1st Anniversary to the Visitation Ministry

Congratulations to the Visitation Ministry for their 1st year Anniversary and to their members, for their dedication and commitment to bring joy and Jesus to all their recipients. They are the reason why the ministry is going strong! The Visitation Ministry is always open to new members and recipients. Our meetings are every 2nd Saturday of the month at 9:30AM in the Long Room of the Community Center. The next meeting is on April 11, 2015. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

Every month, our ministry sends out cards of encouragement to around 35-40 recipients. Last December, we were able to donate socks for all the residents of the Two Palms Nursing Facility when the Youth/Confirmation Group went to sing Christmas carols to them.

◦1st Meeting was held with Visitation Ministry Volunteers on Saturday February 8, 2014.

◦We reviewed the Visitation Ministry Guidelines.

◦Feb 12, Fr. Gerard said Mass at the Friendly Place Residential Facility in Upper Hastings Ranch, with 3 Catholic residents and 1 Episcopalian. Grace Adan reported:
