Young Adult Ministry

Young adults (ages 18-39) are warmly invited to join our parish’s young adult ministry (YAM)! Married, single, discerning, students, professionals, converts/reverts, cradle Catholics, and any young adults interested in learning about the Catholic faith are welcome.

ABVM Young Adult Ministry’s purpose is to create a home for young adults (18-39) to grow in the Roman Catholic faith, build Christ-centered community, and serve God and those in need.

As of July 2022, our Wednesday 7pm meetings are back in the parish’s Community Center in-person. For first-timers, the building’s address is 651 N Sierra Madre Blvd. Please enter the Community Center from its east door on Sierra Madre Blvd, where there is also street parking. Please RSVP by email or social media so we have enough refreshments for the evening. Our Wednesday activities vary week-to-week. We also host various weekend gatherings in-person (Mass, meals, socials, volunteering, etc.).

Update 01/15/2023 – Change in Leadership

Michelle S. has decided to step down from the ministry and her role as co-lead. Our current core team consists of Karla V., Manny S., Nicole H., Rachel L., and Tyler H. Celine Y. will continue as the ministry lead until further notice.  As a team, we strive to continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus for our community. YAM has impacted many lives over the past six years, and we are so grateful to be a part of it. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.

Members of ABVM’s Habitat for Humanity ministry, YAM, and Catholic Coalition attended the dedication of Habitat’s Lomita site in Glendale. Six families received the keys to their new homes, culminating their long journey to attain affordable housing. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time and talents in helping make this vision a reality.
