Message from Fr. Mike

Easter Sunday April 20, 2025

This year has been an interesting and unique year. The devastation of the Eaton Fire is heavy on our hearts, especially this Easter. Many will be celebrating Easter outside their lovely homes. But as we gather to celebrate the resurrection of hope and renewal, let us remember the strength that resides within each of us. The devastation of the Eaton Fire and the mud created by the rain that followed have tested our resilience, faith, and hope, but they have also revealed the depth of our compassion, unity, and faith. Many people came forward to offer help in various ways. We witnessed the best of human nature. We are grateful.

In times of hardship, we find that the light of Easter shines bright. Just as spring emerges after a long winter, and new life sprouts even from seemingly barren ground, so too can hope and healing rise from the ashes of loss. Easter reminds us that even in the darkest of times, there is the promise of a new beginning, a chance for restoration and rebuilding.

The challenges we’ve faced have brought us closer together. Though the road to recovery may be long, you are not walking alone. Together, we are stronger, and together, we will rebuild.

Let the spirit of Easter fill your hearts with peace and encouragement, knowing that even in the midst of trial, there is always room for renewal. Let the joy that comes from both planning and celebrating our 75th Anniversary, generate the spirit of renewal in you.

May the love of Christ guide us, uplift us, and bring healing to our community. As we rise with Him this Easter, let us rise with renewed hope and faith in the power of togetherness. Wishing you a peaceful Easter filled with the promise of brighter days to come.

With love and prayers for a brighter tomorrow, HAPPY EASTER!
