Parish Mission – “Does God Know Who You Are”
What is a Mission?
A mission is a time of special grace when God calls us into a deeper relationship with Him.
Who is a Mission for?
The Mission is for everyone! It is for all ages and any stage of life.
What form will this Mission take?
Every evening there will be a special parish Mass and homily at 7:00PM. A social will follow in Msgr. Crean Hall. The mission priests will be available for informal chats and questions.
Who is preaching?
Fr. Richard Gielow, C.M. was born in LaSalle, IL in 1943 and was ordained a priest in 1970. He has served as: Director of Vocations, rector and principal of St. John’s High School Seminary in Kansas City, MO and since 1982 he has been the Director of the Vincentian Parish Mission Center in Kansas City, MO. He is also the National Spiritual Advisor to the Ladies of Charity of USA.
Father Gielow holds a B.A. in Philosophy, a M.Div. in Theology and a M.A. in Religious Education. He is listed in the Midwest and Religious sections of Who’s Who in America as a “well known preacher and retreat director”.
Fr. Robert Gielow is the twin brother of Fr. Richard Gielow, also a Vincentian and part of the Mission Team. Fr. Bob was born in LaSalle, IL in 1943 and was ordained in May 1971.
After receiving a Masters degree in Counseling from Southwest Missouri State he joined the faculty of Regina Cleri Seminary in Tucson, AZ. After four years in Tucson, Father Bob joined the faculty at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. During his eight years at the University, he served as Director of Campus Ministry and as Director of Athletics. Upon completion of a Masters degree in Pastoral Studies at Loyola University, Chicago in 1987, he joined the Vincentian Parish Mission team.
