2011 Walk 4 Life

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish and School participated in the WALK4LIFE event organized by LIFEsocal. LIFEsocal was formed by a group of high school and college students who believe that from the moment of conception, all babies deserve LIFE (Life Is For Everyone).

The MISSION of LIFEsocal is to spread the message of LIFE.

Their primary goal is to inform and motivate teens and young adults in Southern California to believe in LIFE, stand up or LIFE, and fight for LIFE, with the hope of ending abortion.

In connection with this mission, they held their first major LIFEevent in partnership with the Right to Life League of Southern California. It was held at the Rose Bowl, Sunday March 27, 2011.

This LIFEevent started with WALK4LIFE, a spirited 2.5 mile walk around the Rose Bowl. This event was suggested by the Junior Advisors of LIFEsocal with the goal of raising money for local pregnancy help centers and other pro-LIFE organizations. Walk4LIFE was followed by LIFEfest held on the Rose Bowl grass. LIFEfest featured live music, information booths, food trucks, video entertainment and most importantly included motivating pro-LIFE speakers: Lila Rose, Walter Hoye, Carol Liebau and Karyme Lozano.
